"America, hear this soldier!"
He drives a tank, and he kicks ass.
God bless, Wes Clarke. He had my vote.

Mine too. Cuz, like all other women, I vote for the most handsome guy. It's social darwinism in action, baby.

Mine too..? It's wierd we all voted for Wes Clark in the primaries.
Posted by: dosali | July 30, 2004 at 06:30 PM
Well, it was him or Kucinich. But, I mean, just LOOK at that troll.
California has 'modified closed primaries.' Whatever the hell that means. And whatever the hell that means, it meant I probably had no way to participate. Because it seems to strange that I, politically minded and very happy to share my opinion, would let an opportunity like that slip by.
But, we have Kerry. And honestly, he probably had the best shot of anyone, which is why Dems rallied behind him. Cuz even for staunch Kerry supporters, it's still a lot about 'anyone but Bush.'

Anna, the fucking General rocked. Do you remember when he was standing up there with his four fucking general stars and announcing he was proud to be a liberal? And then he dared Karl Rove to come after him?
That was fucking awesome.
That was leadership.
I would still give anything to see Wes Clark debate the big, sissy, fancy pants. And I know he could have beaten him.

Yeah, well. When you're not the presidential candidate there's a lot you can get away with. I really love Clark's balls on nearly everything, standing up for what he believes in. He's a man with amazing integrity and would have done great things for America.
But it's not the Democratic vote we're trying to get, it's the undecideds.
Whatever. It was all out of our hands anyway. Go Oklahoma.

I hear you. But I still think the undecideds would have gone for the General like crazy.
He's tough, he's smart, he's articulate as hell, he's fucking fearless, he's a war hero, and he's got four, giant, glittering stars on his shoulders.
And no matter what anyone says--he is not short. He's just very, very far away.
I think he not only could have won, but he could have gone a long way to restoring the good name of liberals, you know the ones, the ones who were fighting the fascists in Spain in the Abraham Lincoln Brigade while Prescott Bush was still doing business with Hitler's Germany.
The liberals who fought the WWI, and WWII, while the Republicans were forming the "Know Nothing" party and preaching isolationism and claiming those were purely "European" wars.
The liberals who wanted to take off the gloves and fight for what's right, while Republicans, like Henry Ford, were still building factories in Hitler's Germany?
Those liberals.
But, no complaints. Kerry and Edwards are a terrific ticket.
And, yes, you're right, we'll always have Oklahoma...
